Amy, mid twenties, a beautiful little boy and girl and a husband who physically and mentally abuses. Gabriel sees the danger Amy is in. He sees the bruises and burn marks she tries to hide and knows her husband is going to kill her or try at some point. Over the wks Gabriel becomes closer with the kids and waits. When he gets a phone call from the little boy, he comes running and gets there just in time to save Amy. He was going to kill her and had already beaten her to with in a inch of her life. With the husband in jail, Amy trying to heal physically and emotionally, the little town of Cape Falls doesn't help Amy at all. The rumors of Amy, how could she do that to her husband, and he was such a good guy and now the rumors of her and Gabriel the town sheriff. Gabriel, doesn't care what the town thinks her just want to protect and cherish this beautiful woman that has been so hurt. He already loves her two little ones. But can he convince Amy to risk her heart?
Very touching love story. Gabriel is truly the white night in shining armor! He is the guy we all dream of and hope to find. Amy is in the worst situation. A loveless marriage with a guy who beats the crap out of her. As the story unfolds and wounds heal, it heats up between Gabriel and Amy. It is pretty intense and very touching. Great story but not for people with abuse issues!

What a great short story, I fell in love with the characters immediately. A must read, great for a fast feel good story.
I've purchased hundreds of books from and this is the first time i've ever requested a refund. This book is soooo boring and vanilla and not hot at all.! Not even a little bit hot!!!!! If you're looking for bdsm, this book is not it at all; if you're looking for hot sex, that's laughable in this book; if you're looking for a deep meaningful developed relationship...ummm..noooootttt!!!!! Since 50 Shades of Boring was written a lot of people have been reading these types of books and actually think its "hot." If you are truly not the vanilla type, you will be soooo disappointed and bored by this idiotic book. If you've ever read any true bdsm books of any kind you will be shaking your head in disappointment if you read this silly book.
I loved Amy and Gabriel. He is a dominant man that is struggling with who he really is because of his deep love for Amy. In Amy's past, she was abused and nearly killed, and because of that she tries to keep her distance from Gabriel but is unable to. It is great to see the relationship evolve and grow. Oh, and the sex is great ) I can't wait for the next book in the series !!
Absolutely in love with the Cape Falls series! They get better and better with each new story! Can't wait until the next book!
It was ok. Not as good as her other stories. Could have used some more development. I think if it was longer, I would have liked it more.
